Community

The Roosevelt Island, New York, NY 10044, Muslim community celebrated Eid ul Adha on 16 June 2024. The Eid prayer was organized by the Islamic Society of Roosevelt Island (ISRI) with the support of the local community. The Eid prayer was followed by a reception for the community. A large number of Roosevelt Island community members attended the reception. In pictures you can see Imam Majd (with mic wearing yellow jacket) and a number of ISRI office holders including ISRI President Salem Matug, Vice-President Maqsood Ahmed, Vice-President Mamane Harouna and others.
